Meet Maryah Rakha

Maryah lost her father in Syria in 2022, a loss that changed her life and the opportunities available to her family. Born in 2012, she is growing into adolescence while navigating the challenges of life without her father and the financial difficulties his absence has brought. Pink is her favorite color, and she still enjoys playing with her Barbie house, holding on to the little things that bring her happiness. Like other girls her age, Maryah has dreams and wishes for things she cannot always have because of her family’s limited resources. Through sponsorship, she could receive the support she needs to pursue her ambitions, enjoy more opportunities, and work toward a future where her dreams feel within reach.
